Welcome to the second in our series of team interviews - your chance to meet the people behind-the-scenes, who work incredibly hard to make your experience at Perkins the best it can be!
We get to know so much about our customers, so it's only fair you get to know us too. For this one, we would like to introduce you to Jenna - an incredibly talented Venue Director who works across both Perkins and Carriage Hall.
What do you do and how long have you worked at Perkins?
Well my official job title is venue director of Perkins and The Carriage Hall. However, what that really means is that I do a little bit of everything, which includes organising our events calendar, working in the restaurant or at the Carriage Hall, conducting a show round, working in the kitchen either preparing or serving wedding meals or even washing the pots! I've been in the Perkins family for 16 ½ years.
What’s your favourite thing about working at Perkins?
Being a part of an amazing team and making our lovely customers happy.
What is your favourite song and why?
My favourite song right now would have to be 'Can't stop the feeling' by Justin Timberlake. It just makes my happy!
What’s your favourite dish on the Perkins menu?
I love all of the our dishes but my favourite has to be the duck breast!
What three events on the calendar for this year should people look forward to at Perkins?
OK, so it would have to be 3 of our Gastronomic nights ‘San Sebastian’ ‘New Orleans’ ’12 tastes of Christmas.’
What’s the one dish you look forward to being cooked at home?
My favourite meal would have to be a roast chicken dinner.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to join the Perkins Family?
Be the best version of yourself and be prepared to work hard.
